Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNO): A day after the tragic boat capsizing incident left six persons dead at Gandabal area of Batwara, the J&K Administration on Wednesday said it has formed a high level committee to suggest measures to be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. The panel will submit its report within two weeks to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V K Bhiduri. An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that a committee comprising of transporters, Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC) department, Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LC&MA) and others concerned. The committee will gather the details and submit the report for necessary action to prevent such incidents in the future, he said. He added that the committee has been asked to submit the report within two weeks. Pertinently, six people lost their lives; three others were rescued and as many are still missing after a boat capsized at Gandabal area of Batwara yesterday morning—(KNO)
